Eighth in the series, do not start here, you'll be lost. Yay Peter is back! The first bit is a little slow, but there are some interesting bits that soon turn into the investigation I hoped for. Peter still has snarky comments on pretty much every aspect of London architecture, but this time no buildings actually explode. I really liked the Mary Engine idea and I suspect that's going to show up again. I loved the New York Librarians and I HOPE they are going to make another appearance. Looks like maybe a couple new characters, and then there are the domestic issues...enough plot that I hope Aaronovitch keeps going for years and years.
