Anna has settled into Portsmouth. She has friends and has made it a home. She has embraced her abilities and is learning more about controlling and using them. She's also a freelance artist so work can be harder to find at times.
When Miranda and Jake, owners of her favorite coffee shop, announce they want her to paint some murals in the new, larger place they bought, she jumps at the opportunity. This leads to hidden tunnels and a body. Problem is, the police chief wants to finger Jake for the murder. It is up to Anna and friends to find out what really happened.
Overall, this was a satisfying read. No romance, but maybe in book 3 (with Sean- the younger). I liked Grandma BB and am glad she is sticking around.
