I believe it is a lost tradition and blessing today - reading together as a family. Children love it and it is a way to bring the family closer together when time seems scarce and commitments seem many. My girls loved it and my grandchildren do too. Not only does it bond a family, but it gives them a chance to discuss spiritual and moral values. So important with all our children are exposed to that is totally the opposite.
This is such a great read aloud book. Bible based stories, classic literature, examples of God's never changing values. Great for all ages.
I like this book because it has so many stories right together and so many different godly character qualities represented.
