This appealing book about five women living in a superb of Australia called Pleasant Court was another can't put down story. Their lives intertwine in a way that kept me guessing until the end. You never know what goes on behind closed doors and personal struggles that exist in each family. Affairs, secrets and deceit made this a gripping read.

Very well done! I was hesitant for the first part of this book because some of the actions of these neighborhood residents were ghastly. It had roped me in, though, so that I had to keep turning pages to see what would happen. It leads you to believe you think you know what is going on but it was quite surprising and unexpected when it all began to play out. There were some really tense moments. I wound up warming up to these characters and most redeemed themselves. I loved it in the end.

I enjoyed this book for the most part. It is about four women and their families living next-door to each other. The book seems to have a split personality, though. Two of the women have the most interesting stories, while the other two seem to be just extra storylines to increase the size of the book. Their lives are encapsulated and their stories seem to have been added just for drama. An entire book could've been written on the storylines of the first two. All this being said, I couldn't put the book down because I was so interested in at least half of the characters.
