I don't normally read romance novels of any kind. I find them unbelievable and boring. I only read this book because it was a recommendation by a friend and she dared me to read and see if I didn't like it. I didn't like it, I loved it. This is a fabulous book that keeps your interest. Very enjoyable read, even for people who don't normally read this kind of stuff. I am going to be reading more of this authors work.

First in her dark-hunter series, not about vampires but sets the stage for upcoming books. A great read! I love Sherrilyn Kenyon. Read this one first then go in order and you'll be glad you did!

While not technically a "Dark Hunter" book this will introduce you to the Dark World and some of the continuing characters.

This book was difficult for me to get into but once I got past about Chapter 3 (and my own misconceptions), it was great!

No, it isn't one of her best books, but if you want to read the Dark-Hunter books....this one is a must to start with! It really sets the scene for many of her books, and introduces important characters to you.

A good story, and they just keep getting better!

I guess "not for me" would be the best review for this book. I did not finish it. A friend told me about this series. After reading the summary on the back I was skeptical about reading it, but went ahead and gave it a try. A couple chapters in and I felt like I was reading a kinky teenage novel. The writing is kind of immature/lacking, but the content is pretty adult. I think this series is considered paranormal romance and I guess it's just not my thing.

This was the first of Sherrilyn's books I had read and I instantly fell in love with the series.
This book has pretty much everything. Suspense, Romance, some humorous parts, and of course some fantasy :)

I think i could relate to the female main character because she wasn't the usual bleach-blonde skinny model type, she's a "curvacous" woman :)

Anyway, you'll love the book, hopefully as well as my friends and i have. (yeah, i got them hooked on the series too)

p.s. this isn't the first book in a series, but you don't really have to go in order to understand the plot/story.

This is a 'prequel' of sorts to the Dark Hunter series. It was awesome!! The characters are witty, and humorous and I very much could relate to how the female lead character was feeling. A fantastical story with really believable personalities. If you like Greek Mythology, fantasy and hot romance, you probably would really like this book as well.

I loved this book! The story line was very good...different from most of the fantasy romance books I read. I'm looking forward to reading the whole series. I love the way the main character, Julian, has a hard time learning the ways of modern life. I can't say enough good things about this book. I read it in 1 day!!
