I read this book because I am a Bentley Little fan. Y'know, one of those recommendations "if you like so-and-so, then you'll like this one." The Farm was good, but didn't grab me in like most Bentley Little stories. I thought it was too long, too detailed, and a bit run-of-the-mill scary.

Key elements include main characters moved from the city to the mountains, mysterious death of previous wife, country pastors, ghosts, and goats... lots and lots of goats.

great supernatural story filled with a few mountain myths and legends. This author is a lot like bentley little. If you like Little you'll like this one.

This book was my first by this author, and even though it was decent, I just wasn't very excited about it. Typical horror cliches can be found in this book. I think the only thing that scared me about this was my fear of goats(childhood incident that traumatized me). There are some scenes with goats and other farm animals and that bothered me/creeped me out more than anything. Decent book, but not my cup of tea.

WOW! Fantastic book especially for the Halloween season! This is the first Ive read by this horror writer. He is right up there with "KING". I use King because even on the book itself it is compared to Stephen King.
This book is written so well you will see, smell, taste, feel, touch, everything the writer intends for you.

I highly recommend this, surprised this didn't make it to a film. I look forward to more from this author!
