A bit of a disappointment overall. I loved the premise (vet investigating a murder) and was looking forward to reading it, but it was just OK.
First off,Mandy deciding to solve this murder case is implausible. She arrives out of the blue to take over her deceased friend's vet clinic and "doesn't want her friend's quaint town to be marred by murder". Huh?? Secondly, the dialogue is stiff and unrealistic. I didn't hate this book, but I would not read another one from the series.
