I read about Haylie in a short magazine article; from the article her way of eating just made sense..no fake foods, no shakes, no delivery service, no going on and off a "plan"...just using the 4 paragraphs of the article and the food that already existed in my house my husband and I lost 8 pounds the first week..and we were full all week long..really! I immediately ordered her book and my husband and I keep losing...he is down 25 points on his blood pressure..doc is real happy about that.
Her program uses real foods, teaches about how the food industry has messed with our food supply to make even the most healhy sounding food be indigestible..such as whole wheat bread with honey...I took her points and have been doing my own research and have found her to be in dead on agreement with everyone except the companies trying to sell these "natural" foods...
Our meals are things the entire family can eat, ingredients that are able to find in the "healthy aisles", costco, organic style stores, etc...(and they're tasty)...my husband comments he is "suffering" (jokingly) when he is served salmon, sauteed kale, dehydrated coconut macaroons, bowls of fresh berries, etc...no calorie counting, no jotting down every little thing I eat...a perfect lifestyle change.
That being said..if you're serious about losing weight and are ready I wouldn't wait for the book to become available on a swap..really..by the time it comes through you could be living your real life..(and no I don't get a kickback from Haylie...although, I should as many people that know me have gone to buy the book once they see our family)...
