After being suspended for assaulting a fellow officer, Lt. Samantha Holland is approached by a man who needs her help. Josh Hamilton says that he was surfing the internet when he ran across an age-enhanced photo of a baby who was kidnapped thirty years ago. The picture looks just like Josh. He tells Sam that he never fit in with his family and now he knows why. Sam is going to send him to the police station until he mentions that his father is Troy Hamilton, the Director of the FBI. Sam decides to do a little sleuthing on her own before going to the Chief about her suspicions.
This is the tenth book in the Fatal series. There was a lot going on. Since Sam was suspended, she is stuck at home and can't go into the office. Her husband and her son both come down with the flu, so she is busy playing nurse to them. In the meantime, a death in the Hamilton family makes the police Chief wish he had Sam available for this case.
I liked this case and how it played out. It was a little easy to figure out, but still entertaining. My rating: 4 Stars.
