This is a great memoir about a woman raised in a christian scientist household.
It was very informative about the practice of christian science and of its core values and beliefs as well as a gut wrenching tale of losing a parent to cancer.
I honestly had no idea what went on in that particular religion and was shocked at some of the beliefs (illness is an error in thinking, germs don't exist) huh?? I had to keep telling my friends and coworkers about these peculiar ideas that this religious group promoted.
Overall, I thought this was an excellent book that provoked a lot of emotion and thought.
