Wow! What a story!! I first read Belva Plain's "After the Fire" and was driven to read another book of hers! So, this was my second read and I was not disappointed! She is a wonderful storyteller.
She writes in such a way that I felt I personally knew the characters and was actually witnessing the events directly with them.
I loved the ending! You read the book pretty much knowing the end would come as it would, but she paints such a beautiful ending in her stories I am hooked! Who DOESN'T love a great ending?!
