Although they come from three distinct walks of life, Bernice, Jacqueline and Yvonne all have something in common--each has fallen victim to the man named Gideon, a supernatural sexual predator who has been slowly draining their vitality. Learning of each other's existence, they decide to strike back at their tormentor, luring him to an underground parking lot where they shoot him several times, then flee, leaving him for dead. Their troubles are only just beginning, though, as Gideon, who is far more resilient than they expect, launches a bloody supernatural campaign of revenge against them

One of the better Vampire slants. Fast Paced and entertaining. NO slow time to develop characters just action. Laws has become one of my favorites.

I'm not really a vampire reader but this book was interesting. Such poetic justice that a vampire would seek revenge on women that plotted to kill him.

A good tale of the latest victims of a vampire, how they try to kill him and what he does in return.
This is a new twist on vampires, their powers, and how a few people struggle to regain their lives and free will. Interesting characters struggle, sometimes unsuccessfully, against a shadowy, seductive otherworldly being who seems invulnerable. The story moves quickly and is full of well-described action.
Book is well written with a new concept thats refreshing

GREAT BOOK,A SLEEK AND SEXY BOOK LACED WITH HORROR AND TRIUMPH. LAWS UPDATES THE VAMPIRE STORY DITCHING THE STANDARD STAKE-AND-GARLIC TRAPPINGS. I WILL BE LOOKING FOR MORE WRITTEN BY HIM.
I used to think of King, Koontz, Ann Rule and John Saul for Horror and I still do! But I have now added Stephen Laws to my reading as well.
he plot may be a little unbelievable at times but the knot in the stomach fear bodes you on.

A vampire story that turns the genre conventions upside down.
"Laws updates the vampire story..."
not my kind of thing
I didn't like this book and didn't finish it. It was a bit too dark for me. I prefer paranormal romances, and a romance this was not!
