In Fearless Max Lucado sends the message that with fear in our lives we can be our own worst enemy. He also shows us how with faith and prayer we can overcome this fear. There are many examples of fear in the Bible and many examples of Jesus telling us not to fear. If we can trust our faith and know that there is nothing to fear through Jesus then we can live without fear. That is Lucado's message.

I've read a lot of spiritual/self-help books, not one has connected with me like Fearless did. I saw myself in so many of the examples of fear taking over one's life. It seemed as if Lucado was writing this book just for me to read. I think that for the first time while reading a book I actually sat the book aside and prayed. I liked the message and I've taken much from this book to heart.

FDR famously declared that "the only thing we have to fear is fear itself." In today's world, however, with 24 hour news and the omnipresent internet it often seems like there is no escape from fear. Fear inhibits us from being the person God created us to be. Who would we be without our constant companion, fear, and what does God have to say about fear? Those who are seeking answers to these questions will be well rewarded by reading Fearless by Max Lucado.

The premise behind Fearless is that "we can fear less tomorrow than we do today." With the Word as a guide Max Lucado in Fearless explores the Bible's teachings on fear. Specifically, Lucado identifies 14 fears and the scriptures' response. Fearless concludes with the powerful example of William Farris, a seven year old West African boy, who composed a psalm-like prayer while witnessing all of his family's possessions disintegrate in flames. If a little boy can rely on God's promises to be fearless in the face of such adversity can't we also put our trust in Him?

Fearless is a glass of water for a thirsty world.

I loved this book! Max Lucado is my favorite Christian author and this book is even better than previous ones I've read! Fear is something that just about everyone deals with in one way or another. And Max does an amazing job helping us understand why we shouldn't be fearful and why God has already taken care of the things we dread. It's easier said than done, but this book really inspires the readers to cast their fears aside. It's a quick and encouraging read!

Few are the authors who can make you feel they know what goes through your mind. But the thing is, we are all human, each facing the path ahead with some level of uncertainty and sometimes real fear. Max has a unique way of helping us face those fears in the way God intended, through Jesus Christ our Savior. What a great book!

Max Lucado is the ultimate story teller with a knack for making the truth accessible. This book is truly for anyone. Mr. Lucado walks the reader through many of the fears that all of us face at one time or another and how God's Word answers each one and deflates it of its power over us.

We fear not having enough money. We fear for the safety of our children. Everyday we fear something. We fear disappointment, of ourselves, others and of God. FEARLESS speaks to the desire within you. To push back that fear and replace it with faith, to trust in God and replace it with faith.

FEARLESS examines Jesus' statements about fear. "Do Not Be Afraid" and "Fear Not". It also encourages us to take heart in difficult times. Max Lucado's words will lift your spirit and bring you comfort.
