This is a delightful book that was fascinating throughout. The author has done exhaustive research the world over, and even experiments of his own to test his theories. It was written with a lot of humor and down to earth prose, making its science understandable and palatable for the regular reader. The scope of topics is amazing, from feathered dinosaurs, to the evolution of color, to the use of feathers by humans as pens and for decorative purposes such as hats and costumes. And much, much more. Truly a great work, and I enjoyed it very much. Excellent - I highly recommend it to everyone. D.
