IMO This one's much better than the first book "Rush". I like the male lead> He didn't end up being a sniveling weakling yet was deliciously vulnerable. Decent book for Maya Banks

I'm only half through the book right now, but GEEZ this duo is so whiny! & annoying. The crap these 2 do and say are so annoying. I'm pushing through it because I really liked #1 & I had initially liked Jace. I mean he's macho, stud, dominant... & she's a scaredy cat, he scares her every few sentences by cussing. Ugh.

I'm trying, I'm really really trying here.

Will update when finished...

I thought that this book was way better than the first book "Rush". The characters and even the plot were far superior. I really liked the main characters and Bethany was a strong/believable leading lady. Personally I need more of a plot than just a love story no matter how hot it is. This book delivered much better then book 1 did in that aspect. If each book is better than the one before it than book 3 should be five stars! I will say I found Jace and Ash more interesting in book 1 than it's main characters Gabe and Mia. I can't wait to read the last book about Ash, his family of vipers, and the one woman that will tame his heart.

Thinking that book two would have been better developed in characters and story line I took the plunge and read it. Didn't really happen. I was wanting to know how Jace would find his "soulmate" and the story about it.
Would have been a great book except for the use of the word baby. Really? Do high power men talk like that? Not in my corporate world.
If you want a book with sex on every other page and the word baby said 4-6 times on each page then this is your kinda book.
Not even going to read book three.

I liked this one so much more than the first one. Bethany rocks. I have great admiration for her because after some hard knocks in life she is trying to do the right thing.

Jace is a wonderful alpha male idiot which makes his groveling so much better.

Things I enjoyed: Banks does a really good job portraying the power of a submissive. I think a lot of S&M / master & servant books kind of miss that. It's also great because Jace and Bethany's relationship is ongoing. The same issues creep up but the characters get better at dealing with them.

Really fun read and quite hot.

OMG! This book reads like a soap opera - a really, really BAD, corny, over-the-top soap opera. The threesome sex scene is super hot, but it's all downhill from there. Ugh.
