As of now, this is Leonard Goldberg's last book in the Joanna Blalock series and, in my opinion, the best yet. It deals with a very touchy subject: Smallpox & Terrorism and bits of 9/11 are added in the book as well. Joanna Blalock, a forensic pathologist at Memorial Hospital in Los Angeles is called in by the FBI to do a top secret autopsy of an unidentified man found murdered at LAX, Joanna and Jake fear that they are once again being pulled into another terrorist investigation; the previous one having nearly cost Joanna her life.
Riveting biothriller with both FBI and police characters working in tandem to stop a mutated virus that threatens death and destruction for millions worldwide... Fascinating reading.
Bioterorism and Dr Joanna Blalock herself is in danger caught in the center of the plot. But what is the plot? What are the terrorist planning and can they be stopped? Very good book. Exciting to the finish.
Great medical thriller. Scary as heck.
another great medical suspense at its besy
Good book.... real page turner.
I highly recommend this book.
I loved the entire Joanna Blalock forensic pathologist series, and hated to see it come to an end. Not one book was disappointing, and all kept you guessing until the end. I wish Dr. Goldberg had many more books of fiction in his bibliography.
