What a great thriller, starts off at a run and keeps going till the end.
Characters with lots of backstory, baggage and a strong sense of needing to catch the bad guys.
Wild ride.

#8 in the series flashes back to the backstory of Taylor & Baldwin. Starting where Taylor killed a fellow officer and Baldwin's FBI team was killed it's a prequel to All The Pretty Girls. A serial killer is targeting Nashville and Taylor & her murder squad are on the case. Enter John Baldwin on loan from the FBI after taking a leave of absence. Both he & Taylor are broken but brought together pursuing the investigation to bring the killer down. Loads of backstory on Taylor, Baldwin, Sam, & the murder squad. Interesting murders and I would actually read this book as the first in the series
Can't rave about this, learned it is a reprint from the title Crossed, others had read it and seemed familiar so started digging and found it in the original title
Ellison must've been desperate for a new book out and relied on the 'beginning' of the series but after reading the rest of the series first it made this one seem 'old', you already know the characters and everything so there are not surprises there, the storyline has been done before by others so I didn't find it very interesting
but I'll give it 3 stars because it will be considered a good book if you want to read all the backstory of the series.
