This book had some good moments, but overall I didn't really like it. Darby, after writing two books is a relationship/dating expert. She never set out to be one, but somehow found her way into giving advise to thousands of women. Living her life as an orphan, with everyone she loves eventually dying she feels she has finally found her perfect family with her husband and his two step-children; until she finds out he's been cheating on her by Matt Lauer of the Today show in a very public manner. Her husband, Will is going to get back together with his ex-wife Gigi (a very annoying reality t.v. star that seems bent on ruining Darby's career.) She quickly becomes the object of media ridicule and her expert status on dating and relationships is questioned by her swarm of fans. One debacle after another leads her to believe she's never going to come out on top of this scandal. In addition to the media troubles she's going to be going through a messy divorce where she would like to get custody of her step-children (she's been the main care-giver to them for the three years she was married to her husband).

I wanted to like this book, but there was just something that seemed forced about it. Darby's character, while flawed, just seemed too good to be true. I loved the dating tips in the book, they made sense, but when faced with the same decisions Darby didn't seem to want to follow her own advice. Everything works itself out in the end, but after everything happened it just didn't seem right to me. I guess if you have nothing else to read this would do in a pinch but I wouldn't expect it to change your life for the better.
