It's by John Piper, one of our great modern Christian authors (and I don't consider many of them great being fond of the classic authors), it is about our favorit subject, and its a very pretty book. What more can I say - its great!

This book makes a great devotional leading up to or following Easter. The "reasons" are all two pages long, and can be read one each day.

John Piper comes through again in a very readable, easily understandable explanation of many of the reasons for Christ's Death. Each reason explained precisely and concisely in two pages or less. This book is great for evangelism and/or outreach or for personal study.

Great devotional for the serious student of scripture. Classic, challenging Piper.

The best!

This book fails to answer the questions. It gives fake/pat/child answers that can easily be argued against. Read my review on The Cast For Christ by Lee Strobel. This book is much like his - only not quite as bad. But don't waste your time for money, unless you want to learn some fake answers that never really answer the questions.
