*SPOILER ALERT* It's been a year, but JC is back. He came back to Gwen after being in protective custody for the big murder trial. She's been having a fling with Chandler Pierce while JC has been gone because she didn't know if he was coming back. She still loves him but had to have sex to feel wanted. Chandler has developed feelings for her and she keeps him on the back burner in case she & JC don't work out. JC just wants her and doesn't care about the past as long as the two of them are together. They move in together and get engaged but Gwen's insecurities seem to keep her from enjoying their relationship to the fullest extent. A secret that JC and Norma kept from her has her trust issues at the forefront again and then a surprise pregnancy factors in on whether Chandler or JC is the father since she had sex with both of them in a week. Gwen is completely unlikable is this book and is full of drama, ultimatums, shrillness, and temper tantrums
