I eagerly awaited this book after reading In Deep Voodoo - and I wasn't disappointed. Another fast read although I did figure out a few things before the ending. Not the main bad guy, tho! The extra characters weren't as defined in this book as they were in the first but you're still left hoping Ms. Bond will come back and tell their tales! If you're looking for a good time and a fast read, I believe you'll enjoy this book! I did.

Gloria Dalton is one scared puppy. Her mother testified against a crime boss and they were both put into the witness protection program. Years have passed and she is now a lawyer and has recently moved to Mojo, LA. By coincidence, her childhood boyfriend, Zane, also just moved to Mojo as the sheriff.

Murder is running rampant in town and Gloria is present at all the crime scenes and Zane (not knowing who she is) suspects Gloria. It is one mishap after another between the two until Zane figures out who she is and then the fun really begins.

I really enjoyed both Zane and Gloria. They experienced real issues and dealt with them just like anyone else would have...no funny business or unexplained solutions. Just another good book from Stephanie Bond.

this book is part of series - i was a little lost in the beginning as the author does not establish the characters - the series does not have the same flow as the "body mover" series its not as funny or suspenseful - but its still a good read

its about a lawyer in the witness protection program after her parents witnessed crimes by their employer - shes been on the run from her old life for decades and longs for connections to her past - especially her high school boyfriend - who just happens to be the police chief in the new town she has just arrived (moved) in - the person she is hiding from is still searching for her family so she must continue the charade and not show her true self to the police chief while they are both suddenly witnesses to a series of crimes they may or may not be connected to her old self

The second in the series set in Mojo, LA, the reader finds attorney Gloria Dalton settling in to her new digs. She's been forced into the Witness Protection Program and has had to leave the boy she first loved, Zane Riley.

However, a welcoming gift--a voodoo doll, natch--worries her and then her male paralegal dies in a car accident. The new Chief of Police investigates, and Gloria is stunned to see that it's Zane. Can Gloria keep her identity concealed from Zane?

This book has a little more mystery than romance, but the reunion between Gloria and Zane is worth it. The author also adds a nice twist as to the identity of Wiccan priestess Diane, mentioned briefly in the first book, and here as Gloria's legal secretary. The plot moves along quickly, and the residents of Mojo are as quirky as ever. Looking forward to the next installment.

Good entertaining read with a fresh approach. After reading the book, I went back and read the inside cover and found that this book is the sequel to IN DEEP VOODOO. This book worked for me as a "stand alone" book; although I now do want to read the first one.

Great beach read!

I love Stephanie Bond especially this series. This is the second book in the series. The first one In Deep Voodoo.

Enjoyed the first book in this series, Deep VooDoo, and was anxious to read this one. It was disappointing and not quite as good as the first. Gloria and Zane were hard to get into and care about and there seemed to be a lot of repetition of the same information.

the 2nd book in the "Mojo" series. This one delves into Gloria, the attorney who represented Penny in the 1st book "In Deep Voodoo" Gloria has moved here from New Orleans in the WITSEC program. Enter the new Chief of Police (Zane) who was Gloria's 1st boyfriend in her previous life years ago. Trying to hide her true identity & trying not to get murdered in the eccentric little town makes for a great read full of mystery, romance, & intrigue.
