A little difficult to get started but picks up after awhile. Good book.

This was a complex story with vivid characters. I think Godwin's best trait in this story is her description of the characters. They "flesh out" as you turn each page.

Justin Stokes would never forget that summer she met Ursula DeVane. Ursula a free spirited woman of the world. In the little pondside hut she called her "finishing school," Ursula opened up for Justin a whole world of exciting, magical possibilities. But the lessons of the finishing school had a dark side as well.
