Fun, but unlikely caper novel.
When Finlay Donovan is overheard discussing her new novel with her agent, an eavesdropper misunderstands and offers Finlay big bucks to do away with her slimeball husband. Finlay says no, but can't resist snooping into the guy's activities, and when he ends up dead, she knows she has to figure out whodunnit before she ends up taking the fall.
The characters are fun, but boy is this unlikely, even for chicklit. And nobody seems terribly concerned that people really are dying who might not have, had Finlay just stayed out of the whole thing.
