Layla Caine is uniquely qualified to work in LAPD homicide because she spent her earlier years in Hollywood as an actress. Now, she uses her skills to profile murderers for the police. She is balanced with an interesting homicide cop, Mike Sandoval. They work well together. Someone displays his murdered victims in famous movie scenes. My only disappointment was that the author left the story with a cliffhanger.
