Piper Dove's first job as a licensed private investigator is to follow former Chicago Stars Quarterback Cooper Graham and report back to her client. But Cooper doesn't want to be followed and threatens to call the police if she doesn't leave him alone. But it's not long until Piper finds herself hired to keep an eye on Coop's employees at his new nightclub. She also becomes his bodyguard when someone attacks him in a darkened garage. Was it a mugging or was Coop targeted?
I was so happy to hear that Susan Elizabeth Phillips wrote another Chicago Stars book, but was wary that it wouldn't be as good as the previous ones. Well, I didn't have to worry. This is a fast-paced romantic comedy. There is a good plot and a lot of verbal sparring between Coop and Piper. I loved it. My rating: 4.5 Stars.

I have enjoyed all of the Stars books so far and this one delivered too. Love the strong sassy girls and the I am so hot and cool guys that get put in their place and find love where they weren't looking.
Great characters, love catching up with past ones-phoebe, Blue, Annabelle, etc. Nice back and forth sparring.
