This author excels at witty banter, which makes the whole story sing. The characters are believable and well-drawn. I was sorry when the story ended because they were so interesting. Sarah has a horrible experience with "the love of her life" and decides to avoid all men.
Ian Collum wants a house, and the dealer won't sell it without a 'favor.' The house dealer is enamored with Sarah's younger sister and wants to marry her. Sarah's father refuses until Sarah is at least engaged. Ian, who really wants that house, decides to try to woo Sarah. At first, he falls flat on his face. The humor keeps readers hoping he will win the fair Sarah. This is a fun, clean story.
