A great Medical Drama
If you like medical suspense novels written by an M.D., this is a good one. The references are realistic from a medical perspective. Living in the Boston area, it was even more interesting due to the reference to Mass. General Hsp., and many Boston landmarks.

The book covers five patients at Boston's Massachusetts General Hospital. It talks about their cases and the advances in medicine over the years. It isn't one of his newest books but it is interesting.

Micheal Crichton once again shows his penchant for the written word, this time in a nonfiction work about the true stories of five emergency room patients. I simply love Crichton.
Once again non-fiction proves better than fiction. From the creator of ER, real live dramas. Another remarkable Michael Crichton book.
Fast read. enjoyable
I did not enjoy this book, as there was too much description. It is about Massachusetts General Hospital in 1969, and describes 5 patients, their treatments and outcomes. It is based on true patients and how the hospital operated at that time, as it was written right after the author's experiences there.
This book goes deep into the world of medicine and where it is going. I found it interesting, but also a little over my head at times.

This is NOT a fiction book - it's a story of 5 cases in the Emergency Room of Massachusetts General Hospital. Michael Crichton created ER. It is more technical than I like personally.
I really like Crighton, but this was slow to start. I just could not finish it. I was bored to tears. It is actual stories of patients (normal patients).
