This book was a conundrum for me. It's a fairly new novel about a woman who has recently been scorned by her ex-hubby and has a one night stand with a sexy guy in Cancun. Come to find out, said sexy guy is actually working at her new job. Boom. Action. Go.
This story was both what I expected and not. I was NOT expecting that "one-night stand", I was NOT expecting Main Girl's crazy antics with ex-hubby, and I was NOT expecting Tucker to delve so deep into sexy guy's shit.
However, I did expect the outcome with Main Girl and XHubs and I was expecting the ending. And overall, I enjoyed every bit of this book.
Main Girl's spunkiness paired with Sexy Guy's cockiness was just so awesome and real and incredible. You could definitely see that they had sparks. I was NOT okay with Main Girl's reasons for doing all this shit with XHubs. Main Girl was just too flippy floppy and for a woman who is gung ho and sticks with her gut, it just wasn't like her.
I loved Sexy Guy's family and his mom and where he came from. It definitely shed a light on why Sexy Guy is the way he is and why he's so jaded in the beginning.
This was a great summer read but in my opinion, there could have been more sexy scenes in this book then there was. Not to knock off the book, just my opinion.
