Sonora Blair, a Cincinnati homicide detective and single mother of two, is summoned in the middle of the night to the scene of a particularly gruesome murder. Somora us committed to finding this killer before she strikes again-no matter what the cost to her personal life or the politics of her career. When the murderer begins to call her-taunting mockingly trying to lure into a twisted woman to woman complicity-the tension of this deadly cat and mouse game climbs to an unbearable pitch. Sonora realizes that her peace of mind, her job, and even her family are in deadly jeopardy. She refuses to stop, until the killer is cornered and the victum can finally rest in peace.
I rank this four stars. Sonora Blair is a strong veteran cop and single mom to two children. You root for her to succeed in her balancing act between raising her kids and dealing with some very nasty villains. This time she is on the hunt for a murderer who chains her victims to the steering wheel of their car and then sets fire to them.
Awesome book! An interesting book from start to finish. Would definitely recommend this book to anyone that enjoys reading suspense novels.
