An Alex Delaware Novel, I love that guy!!

Another of Kellerman's "Alex Deleware" novels, this book is fast paced, fun to read and has a GREAT story! I couldn't put it down, as the story brought you from the very rich to the very poor of L.A., from the academic halls of a local college to the inner circles of L.A.'s "serect" worlds. Very good read, and as always an ending you won't soon forget!

This is a great Kellerman/Delaware book. Kellerman reaches sometimes for convoluted plot lines, but manages to bring them all together in the end. I am a fan!

I thought I'd really love this book since Alex Delaware is a psychologist and I'm a mental health therapist. I love psychological suspense stories but don't like at all the kind of mysteries where questions are asked of those who knew the victim which leads to conjecture which leads to more questions asked, which leads to....well, you get my point. I did like the main character Alex and his cop partner, Milo. However, the victim, when she was alive, came across as a money hungry, very cold woman so it was hard to empathize with her as well as Alex's obsession to finding her killer. There were lots of enjoyable twists in this book and the ending took me somewhat by surprise.

Alex Delaware risks his career and relationship with Robin in order to pursue a killer.
Entertaining, fast read. Typical Kellerman formula.
I really enjoyed reading this book.
very good book
A good Alex Delaware read - better than most. A young girl is murdered, and when her mother requests Alex's help to unravel the mystery, he can't turn her away. The girl was a former patient and a straight-A student, along with being a high priced call girl on the side. So Alex and his reliable pal Milo dive into the world of L.A.'s not so shiny side, investigating her death and finding correlations to the disappearance of a UCLA co-ed. Compared to some of his works, I found this Delaware novel to be very quick paced and entertaining to read.

A psychologist investigates his young patient's troubled past, entering the shadowy worlds of fringe psychological experimentation and the sex industry--and danger, when lust and big money collide in an unforgiving Los Angeles.
This is an Alex Delaware series book. It is an excellent story of psychological experimentation and the sex industry, and Alex and his best friend LAPD detective Milo Sturgis are knee deep in this shadowy world. A great read!
A solid mystery. Not over the top, well written, very descriptive.

Alex Delaware is the kind of guy that you'd like to have as a friend.
Typical Alex Delaware - forensic psychology at its best.
Great story...

Great read.
This is an ok mystery. The characters that Alex Delaware meets are interesting. However, I've read suspense that is way more exciting, and edge of your seat nail biting than this.
This mystery kept my attention and was one of those wonderful books that is fast paced yet detailed. Well worth the time to read! I never guessed who the killer was but it made perfect sense once it was revealed.
Perennial bestseller and acknowledged naster of the psychological thriller...
This is the first Jonathan Kellerman book I have read and I found it to be outstanding. The book is well written, flows smoothly from one scene to the next and is quite believable.
Great psychological mystery novel -- a satisfying adventure as he
makes his way through the darker sides of Los Angeles! I enjoyed
his descriptions of locales, lifestyles and libertines in the LA
area -- difficult to put down....

Good read. If you like the series, you will enjoy it.
Not the best in the series, but still good
Psychological mystery - murder, patient-doctor relationship, sex industry - all set in Los Angeles
I agree with the other reviewers- a very good example of what Kellerman can do.
Love Alex Delaware. Another great mystery, psychology thriller.

3 stars. Flesh and Blood was a good read, however not as captivating as most of Kellerman's books I've read. I found it very easy to put down after a few chapters, where normally I have to force myself to stop reading!
A psychological thriller about Dr. Alex Delaware. Fast paced interesting twists. One of my favorite authors.

I just recently started reading the Alex Delaware series from near the beginning. Alex and Milo are two of my favorite characters.Since I live in the area Kellerman writes about it is that much more interesting. This tale of troubled teens and a seamy back story is one of my favorites.

Spine has some lines but the book is still in good shape.
