I don't recall the source that recommended the graphic novel Go With the Flow, but I'm glad it's available at my local library. It's about four teen girls navigating school (and life) together as friends and using their voices to advocate for others.

The primary theme is menstruation. Sasha joins the friend group when she has an embarrassing accident with her first period, Brit is plagued with awful cramps during her cycle, and Abby is outraged the school doesn't supply period products so all have equal access. She uses her artistic ability and her blog to draw attention to the lack of menstrual equity.

Written by Karen Schneemann and Lily Williams with art by Lily Williams, the story covers an academic year. It's a great resource for anyone who wants an empowering mindset about periods or readers who seek a positive look at high school and supportive friends.
