Sometimes a book group choice you would not have made for yourself turns out to be a delightful surpirse. Sometimes a book group choice you think you won't like turns out just to be a book you don't like. That was the case for me with Flunk. Start. However, we did have a great group discussion because the issues it touches on (religion, family, self-help, the nature of memoir, language & writing) had everyone making comments. It was about a 50/50 split of those who liked and didn't like the book. I found the level of detail about Scientology irritating but others appreciated it.
