Wow, this family is dysfunctional with a Capital D. Warm, funny, sad all at the same time. And always love, throughout the pages. A quick read about the adventures of a single aunt and her teen nephew and pre-teen precocious niece as they travel from Canada into southwest U.S. to find the kids' father. The aunt's sister, Min, is placed in the Psych ward (life-long mental illness) so someone has to take care of the kids. She doesn't want them farmed out to foster homes, but isn't prepared to care for them herself. So next best answer is their father. Happy (?) ending, and definitely not chick lit.
