jjares reviewed Food Truck Cookbook: Traditional Recipes from Popular Restaurants on Wheels on + 3414 more book reviews
I wasn't impressed with this book. First, I'd like to explain that I've never eaten at a food truck. I've always lived in small communities where food trucks were unlikely to traverse. Some food trucks have recently come to our area for special events so that I may try them soon.
As you might guess, there are no photos or nutritional information. This surprised me since this is supposed to have been written by a doctor. I could find no mention of a physician by this name on the Internet (except associated with the sale of this book).
At almost 200 pages, there are many recipes. To show the breadth of the offerings, here is a list of the categories:
BBQ and Southern
Pizza and Italian
Mexican and Southwest
The Classics of America
Asian and African
After reading this book carefully, I found no dishes I was particularly interested in making. Perhaps eating at food trucks is an acquired taste.
