For Beryl Tavistock, the place to ask questions about the scandal surrounding her parents' deaths is on Paris's rain-slick streets. But the answers are proving that old secrets die hard. Caught in an increasingly deadly search for the truth, she enters a world where danger is spliced with desire -- a world where them an she's just met, ex-CIA agent Richard Wolf, seems very much at home. But in this world, friends can be enemies and enemies can be killers . . .
Beryl grew up an agents daughter, so she really fits into it again when she is fighting for the truth. Very well done!

When I first started reading this book, I wasn't that into it, but then I got completely absorbed! I thought it was a really good suspense story with a little romance thrown in, but not too much to take away from the story. Great plot and twists!
The quiet scandal surrounding her parents' deaths twenty years ago has always haunted Beryl Tavistock. Now she's asking dangerous questions, and the answers are proving that old secrets die hard.
Caught in what's become a deadly game of cat and mouse, her search for the truth takes her from the rain-slick streets of Paris to the sun-drenched isles of Greece. And as she gets pulled into a world of international espionage, Beryl quickly discovers that she needs help. Richard Wolf, an ex-CIA agent and a man she's only just met, is her only hope.
But in a world where trust is a double-edged sword, friends become enemies and enemies become killers....

Beryl and Jordan have grown up knowing their parents had been in the intelligence community and believing their deaths 20 years ago had been in service to their country. Now they learn a cloud of suspicion hung over their father and that the deaths had been ruled a murder/suicide. Disbelieving, Beryl, Jordan and ex-CIA agent, Richard Wolfe, search the streets of Paris for the truth, a truth that someone deadly does not want them to learn. A good read; a nice combination of murder, intrigue, romance and action.
Awful, awful, awful.
