This one was better than the first one. I liked the main character a lot more. It reads very much like a screenplay for a film in some ways--heavy on action, short on depth--so a fun and light read.

I really enjoyed this installment of the series! It read quickly and was interesting all the way through. The last one seemed kinda slow, but not this one. It takes us to China both past and present in trying to locate a city and a powerful object that others are seeking as well. An excellent installment! A good read!

This was a very exciting novel.

Sometimes it's difficult to follow a series written by an endless string of ghost writers. Even though they tend to stick pretty close to the theme, there are subtle--and sometimes not so subtle-- differences based on the writer du jour's personal interpretation.

However, this time the changes didn't distract me, or detract from the story as a whole. I very much enjoyed it, and can't wait to read the next one :o)
