I really enjoyed this book (and Book 1 The Parting). Ms. Lewis is a wonderful author who pulls you into the characters and storyline with ease. I can't wait until the next one in this series!

Beverly Lewis has done an excellent job of continuing Nellie's courtship. She introduced new characters that help the reader view another perspective on Suzy's death. She developed a family & shared a real heartwrenching relationship. I am anxious to read the next book but not ready for the series to end.

Nice follow-up to the first book. The end leaves you wondering what will happen next. You can see the family's deepening relationship w/ God and how Nellie is drawn away from the Old Way. Look forward to book #3.
another in a series of great reading

3.5 stars, really.
This is the second book in the Nellie Fisher series. I really liked how it shows a struggle of what people go through, and in this case struggles with faith and hardships that the various characters encounter. The main portion of this book is about Nellie Fisher and her beau Caleb whom she desires to marry one day. Her family is deciding to follow the New Amish Order rather than the Old one that she and Caleb are set on, but she loves how her family has been acting and changing as they read God's Word more and more. I think the saddest portions to read in this book is about Rosanna and Elias who are adjusting to parenthood after being given a set of twins they have adopted as their own.
