# 8 in the Virgin River Series
I love, love, love this series of books (must read them in order). They are romances, and each book focuses on a new couple. In Forbidden Falls, Noah comes to Virgin River after buying the old church. He hires a young woman Ellie, to be his assistant and to help him get the church clean and functional again.
The thing i like most about this series is that as each book focuses on a new romance there is also significant time spent continuing the stories of the other residents of Virgin River. This includes POV changes, time spent looking through their eyes. That being said, Forbidden falls has less of these POV changes and sidestories than I have come to expect from Royn Carr. I feel like something was missing. I still very much loved reading about Noah and Ellie but I often wondered as I was reading about what Jack, Mel, Mike, Rick or Shelby were doing? I hope the next book brings more of this back to the series.

I love the Virgin River series. But,"Forbidden Falls " fell a little short for me. I liked Noah and Ellies story well enough. But,in all the other books in this series, you were still kept abreast about what was going on in the lives of all the original characters. This is what I loved a lot about this series. Just not enough depth to this one. Sort of rushed through,is the way I felt at the end.

I do agree with some of the review about this book when it comes to some of repetition but still would give it about 4.5 stars. Robyn Carr really gets you to feel everything about each of the characters. It still has some of the updates with the original casts and gives you more stories about more than the main characters, like Shelby and Luke's wedding and more about inside story of Vanni and Paul without losing the base story. Can't say enough about this author. The town of Virgin Rivers is just getting better and better.

I could not put this book down. It was my first by Robyn Carr and wish I wouldn't have started in the middle of the series. None the less. I love the characters and can't wait for the next one.

Usually with Carr you get to read about a new couple and you get to catch up with the lives of some past couples. Here you pretty much only have Noah / Ellie's story (her name changes throughout the book. I'm assuming it's typos) and Paul / Vanni's. You do get quick sentences about Luke, Liz, Rick, etc... but not as in depth as you ususally get. With that being said, I can see why some people who feel short-changed.
I loved Noah and Ellie's story though. It mirrors Paige / Preacher's story a little bit except Ellie is a bit assertive and proactive. Ellie is very funny and spirited. Noah is super sweet. I really liked that a big part of the story was how Ellie won the town, not only what was going on with the romance with Noah.
Paul / Vanni's story was a little different. Terri, Paul's fling from the past who tried to pass her baby Hannah off as Paul's child, suddenly dies and leaves Hannah to Paul. Now Paul and Vanni has to decide whether or not to put their lives on hold to take care of Hannah. Lots of adjustment issues and hurt feelings. Their story is very short but it was still interesting.
Pretty good read.

Enjoyed the whole series!
After buying a dilapidated church in Virgin River, Reverend Noah Kincaid puts an ad in the local paper to get some help. When he meets Ellie Baldwin, "Pastor's Assistant" is not what springs to mind. The former stripper is in desperate need of a respectable job so she can regain custody of her children, so Noah decides to give her a chance to prove herself.
This was another good book in the Virgin River series. I liked both Noah & Ellie and their story was interesting. The secondary story was about Paul being named guardian of his former girlfriend's baby. When Vanni finds out she is very upset. Vannie is not one of my favorite characters in this series, but I could see where she would not be happy about suddenly gaining custody of a baby. My rating: 4 Stars.

Virgin River series continues this time featuring the new Pastor in town, Noah Kincaid. His new assistabt causes quite a stir, but the main thing stirring is his heart each time he looks at Ellie. From totally different backrounds can this couple find love in Virgin River also? A great book, as all of Robyn Carr's books are. You don't want to miss this one.

Another good, heartwarming story from Robin Carr. I always enjoy her books.
great read
Loved it. Why? Strong characters, current issues, highly moral and this combination keeps me coming back for more.
This is the 8th book in Robyn Carr's Virgin River series. Robyn writes such strong female characters and the men who love them and wil do almost anything for their women. This is the story of Noah, the preacher, and Ellie, the former stripper & mother of 2 young children.
This is part of the Virgin River series and I think if you have enjoyed the series, you would really enjoy this book. It happened to be my first, so I didn't feel connected to the secondary characters the way I would have if I'd started at the beginning. I was slightly surprised at a Presbyterian pastor hero who has sex before getting married, but I guess the author was trying to make the point that ministers are human like the rest of us. There's a lot going on in this book: stolen identity, domestic violence, maternal depression, surprise adoption, and custody issues. It was slightly more real than I like my escapist fiction to be, but I did care about the characters and was glad they got their happy ending.
This was a fun read! Made me laugh out loud more than a few times! Robyn Carr is a talented and entertaining writer!! I hope she keeps these stories coming!!!
I loved getting back to Virgin River! The new residents are just as endearing and engaging as the veteran townspeople. The new characters fit right in! I loved the honesty of human nature found in both Noah and Ellie. With every Virgin River novel, I try like hell to crawl into the pages and into this town. Forbidden Falls is another home run!

Robyn Carr has done it again, the newest story in Virgin River is about Noah, the new minister in town. It's his story and how he finds a new love and how his life becomes intertwined with the Virgin River community. If you like Robyn's books you will love this story.
The characters are lively and entertaining. The plot is believable and kept me interested in th story until the last page.
Great series..
I think this is by far, my favorite of the Virgin River Series. I've enjoyed all of the characters that Robyn Carr has created. I want to live in a community such as Virgin River. However, this was not necessarily my favorite because of the characters and recurring story lines. I think it was more because of the words of wisdom of Ellie's grandmother (gramma). I sure wish there was a place I could just read her sayings! What a kick it would have been to have her still be alive!!
Fun, entertaining, intense.
Just can't get enough of this Virgin River series. Very good book.
Virgin River is abuzz with the news that a stranger bought the town's abandoned church on ebay. The buyer, a young widowed Reverand, is a little like the building itself; in need of some loving care. Noah Kincaid arrives ready to roll up hissleeves and revitalize his new purchase, but he's going to need some help. An ad in the local paper brings an improbable candidate his way. "Pastor's assistant" is not a phrase that springs to mind when Noah meets brassy beautiful ellie Baldwin. This unlikely duo may come from two different worlds, but they have more in common than anyone would have expected.
