I've read and enjoyed Cheryl Holt's books in the past, but I was thoroughly disappointed in this one. The plot seems like a thinly veiled attempt to unite a group of underdeveloped, unbelievable, and unlikable characters in a series of ludicrous actions and behaviors. Even the sex scenes were lacking. Don't waste your time or money.

I usually like Cheryl Holt's stories but this one I just couldn't get past Chapter 4. The characters and storyline just weren't real to me. I'm sure the love scenes were Holt's signature hot but I found I didn't want to hang around to find out.

This book was so horrible. All the characters were mean and nasty, I don't understand how Ian and Caroline could stay together. It was even a romance.

I enjoyed the book. Along with the sexual adventures the story contains some plot surprises and explores the 2 characters emotional scars and growing love.

The main characters are Lady Caroline Foster and Ian Clayton. In an earlier Cheryl Holt book, Complete Abandon, Caroline was jilted by Lord John Wakefield. The story is what Caroline does when her parents force her into an engagement with a old man. She decides to do something bold, and asks Ian, her ex-fiance's illegitimate brother, to give her sexual instruction.

This is the 2nd book with the Clayton brothers. The first is Complete Abandon. I would read them in order because it really helps why Ian is acting the way he is now in this book, etc. Plus there are several references to the previous book & things that happened in it.

Several of Holt's books have Fantasy in the title but they are not a series.
