Vintage Linda Lael Miller work. Neely Wallace is on the run after exposing a corrupt politician. Aidan Tremayne was turned into a Vampire against his will. The two meet and fall in love. But can a Vampire love a human? And can he return to a mortal state?

A vampire love story. Aidan is wonderful. Protective and strong -- and he wants nothing more than to be rid of the curse that his plagued him for hundreds of years. Nealy is on the run and like a dark-eyed demon he swoops to the rescue. He is drawn to her and will do anything to find a way for them to be together. Wonderful, tender love story that will keep you on the edge of your seat.

I love, love, love vampire romances and this one was one of the first to appear in romances way back when. What set it apart was its length and it's complex, multiple-character storyline. Other authors at the time wrote about the typical sexy vampire who sees, wants, bites then conquers the heroine. Not this story. If you like beta vampire heroes like Aiden, then this bud's for you. There are 3 or 4 spin-offs to this one.
This is book 1 of a 4 book series about vampires and their mortal lovers and the dangers they face. All 4 of these books are riveting. I could barely put them down!

If you like vampire novels with a romantic twist, this is your kind of book. Its about Aidan Tremayne who is a vampire in love with Neely Wallace. There's only one problem. Neely is a human. There can be no love between humans and vampires the old rules say. But when Cupid's arrow strikes.....well lets just say Cupid never was a big one for following the rules
