Read Shiver:loved it! 4 1/2 stars

Read Linger:liked it, but wasn't as good as the first. 4 stars.

Read Forever....It picked up from Linger, a bit slow at first. Picked up great towards the end, and limped out at the last second (literally). 3 stars

I was so disappointed in the ending! I expected a little more. Just a few paragraphs to finish up what may have happened. Seriously this book needed an epilogue.

If she does a spin off, I would reconsider my rating. But until then.............

NOTE: You need to read the first two books in this series, SHIVER and LINGER, before you read FOREVER, in order to understand the story.

The tables have turned. Now, Sam is the one waiting. Even though waiting for Grace to return to human form is torture, it is nothing compared to the agony he feels when he thinks about the danger she is in while running loose in the woods. Mr. Culpeper has wanted the wolves in Mercy Falls dead ever since his son was killed by them. After a girl is found torn apart in the woods, Culpeper has just the ammunition he needs to get his wish.

While Grace is Sam's priority, he also has the added responsibility of saving Beck and all of the other wolves. Sam and Grace attempt to come up with a plan, while Cole St. Clair, ex-lead singer of NARKOTIKA and newest pack member, takes dangerous measures to find a cure for the disease infecting his pseudo-family. With the help of Isabel Culpeper and a very unlikely ally, the wolves finally have some hope.

FOREVER has it all - heartwarming romance, angry teen rebellion, and dry, witty humor. It made me laugh, cry, and stress in all the right amounts. FOREVER is the final book in the WOLVES OF MERCY FALLS trilogy. It provides the reader a satisfying ending, while still leaving enough room for us to wonder about the future of the pack.

Maggie Stiefvater has given readers a wonderful story in this trilogy. If you haven't read them yet, run, run, run to the store and get them today.

This is the third and final book in the Wolves of Mercy Falls series by Stiefvater. I was very excited to get an Advanced Reading Copy of this book at Book Expo America. This book did an excellent job of wrapping up this series. It is a bit slow, like all of the book in the series have been, but if you liked the previous books in the series you will love this one.

As Spring slowly creeps into Mercy Falls, MN things are on the cusp of changing. Sam still doesn't know if his cure is for real. Grace is lost in the woods as a wolf, just waiting to change back to a girl. Cole is still desperately trying to find a cure for their curse. Meanwhile Isabel's father is out for the wolves' blood; he has a manhunt planned soon for these wolves. What will happen next is anyone's guess.

As with all the books in this series the writing style is beautiful but slow. There are long periods of time where Stiefvater is just following the characters around in their day to day life, then suddenly BOOM!, tons of stuff happens. Then it is back to a slower pace again. If you have already read the rest of this series you know that's how these books are, and if you like that you will love this book.

This book focuses on Isabel and Cole almost as much as Sam and Grace. In fact there isn't a ton of romantic tension between Sam and Grace; they love each other and know it. The other thing that really propels the book forward is their race against time to save the wolves. They are trying to save the wolves somehow, before Isabel's father hunts them down. To add to this you have the temperature uncertainty that makes various characters randomly revert to wolf form.

There is a lot of tension in this book and a lot of uncertainty. Things are tied up nicely in the end. Although there are a couple things that could have been tied up with more definition...who knows maybe those things will be part of a spin-off series or something.

The characterization in this book is perfect; these are wonderful characters that I really enjoy reading about. It was torture to watch them go through some parts in this book, but in the end that made the resolution all the sweeter. The book is hard to put down and incredibly engaging.

There are some additional things I really enjoyed about this book. I really enjoyed Cole's experimentation with cures, he was a great character and so fun to read about as he dabbled in science. I also enjoyed that the book takes place in my home state of MN! I love how spot on Stiefvater is in her description of Minnesota springs.

Overall I absolutely devoured this book. I loved it to death. Great resolution to the series, wonderful characters, engaging plot, and beautiful writing. The pace is a bit slow for me, but that just seems to be Stiefvater's writing style and I have slowly grown to enjoy it. Definitely read this if you had read the previous books. I recommend this series if you are looking for a young adult paranormal series that doesn't mind dwelling on the beauty of its surroundings and on the little things that make love tick.

This wasn't my favorite of the Wolves of Mercy Falls trilogy, but I thoroughly enjoyed it nonetheless. As I did the entire trilogy.

It took me a while to finish reading it, as opposed to the previous two which I finished in a few days. The beginning was promised everything I had hoped for in the last book, but it took most of the book to finally get to the, for lack of a better phrase, "good" parts.

I remember reading Shiver for the first time and thinking I was going to be so confused at the different points of view, but I got used to that and even looked forward to reading what everyone was thinking.

I loved all the tender moments between Sam and Grace; I loved the snarky comments between Cole and Isabelle. I love books that make me laugh and this definitely had a few laugh out loud moments.

It was sad to leave Mercy Falls and read the last chapter of Forever. I really anticipated more for the grand finale. I left like the ending was too rushed and the ending was too vague. Maybe the author wanted the reader to imagine their own ending for the characters, but I just wouldve liked a more concrete ending.

Final rating: 3 1/2 stars and I highly recommend this trilogy for the YA fantasy novel fan.

I agree completely with Kristilynn's comments that the end of the book just dropped off without enough information to even guess at what might or could happen to everyone. It was disappointing to have everything end in such an ambiguous way since the author created such a wonderful world that I was really drawn into. It's the kind of series that leaves you thinking about the characters and their plights even when you're not reading it. I too looked for at least an epilogue to give some idea of what happened next. I still love the series and would recommend it, but I'm very frustrated in the "non-ending" it had. I feel like I've been left hanging, and it's not a good or satisfying way to end an otherwise great adventure.

This was the best out of the 3 books. We got many P.O.V's for an all around look at what was going on. Grace has came back to her human body a few times but now she is back in Mercy Falls and ready to claim her name back and be in the arms of Sam again. She is now hidden away until her shifts are under control so she can be with her friends. Sam is loaded down with tons of stress about getting Grace back and feeling whole again, dealing with Cole, the town that wants to see him in jail for killing Olivia (Shelby is making his life hell) also killing Grace and hiding her body and on top of all this dealing with a crazed lawyer Tom Culpepper with his hunt to kill the whole pack by air. Cole has been working on his cure for the wolf in their blood and also hoe to force a wolf to turn back even for a short time. Isabel is dealing with her parents but also working on her feelings towards a toxic rock star Cole. But everything works out and Cole used his brain for the good cause and got his formulas in check. We even have a new friend in the mix, or at lease a allied in the police station, where the officer figured where some missing people have gone and what they are now, but also gives Sam and Grace a new future home for the pack to live and not cause anyone any more problems, cuz now he knows they are people and so he help stop a mass murder. With so much weight off of Sams shoulders hes now just feeling like he did right by Beck, Grace Cole and the whole pack. BTW He has to change to lead the pack into their new home, of course Cole help him become his wolf but Beck choose Sam because he can keep his human thoughts even as a wolf where no one else can. It would be nice if we got to see a Epilogue to see years later to see how everyone is doing.

This is not the best book out of the series. It was rather slow towards the middle, repetitive, and the ending was lacking.
