This is a really great book. This books narrative draws you in and you are there with every character. The writing style just flows and the dialogue is natural. Takes you from the late 1800's to current times. Just didn't want to put it down, will certainly read more of this author.

Excellent story appealing to my 50+-year-old self as well as my young adult daughter. Well-writtin saga with a surprise ending.

I really enjoyed this book and found it hard to put down. Elizabeth Adler is a very good writer and I became very involved in this story of San Francisco and three generations of families before, during, and after the big earthquake. Will read more Adler has written! Genny
