One of my favorite Belva plain Novels. I highly recommend it!

In my opinion, Belva Plain was a terrific author, and she really did a tremendous job of capturing the various nuances and complexities of her characters' relationships and weaving them all into an emotional and intriguing story. I've always enjoyed reading books about families and their sometimes troubled and dysfunctional relationships. I would give this book a definite A+!

Punishing to endure. I felt like I was in purgatory while reading this book.

Insurance money from an accident enables Robb MacDaniel to go to law school which in turn delays his marriage to his childhood sweetheart. Eventually he meets someone else and they marry. Succes and ambition change him and the lives around him.
Did not listen to - thought this was a book. I will be looking for the book though - sounds good!!!

I AM HAPPY THE HEROINES ARE STRONG AND ALL TURNS OUT WELL IN THE END. I HATE IT THAT THEY TAKE SO MUCH GUFF FROM SOME MAN BEFOREHAND. GOOD READ.

This was the 1st book I have read by Belva Plain. It started a little slow for me but once I got to know the characters, and their circumstances, I did enjoy it. The book is a good example of consequences for life choices, life's blessings and hardships,and how others affect our lives. Enjoy!
