I thought this book, from the title, had great potential, but alas, it was not to be. Instead of being accounts of these women's lives, it was just a list of how the authors tracked the women down and how they were listed in the army roles. Not very interesting, quite dry and boring reading and I didn't make it but half way through until it all began to sound like the same thing over and over again. I kept waiting for the stories of these brave ladies but never found them.
