Celebration Bay is located in New York. Liv with her little Westie Whiskey have moved from the fast pace life of Manhattan to the country life of the Bay. She has taken on the job of town event planner. She is an outsider in this community so it will take a lot of snooping to get the people to open up to her and help her solve this murder.
Cute little mystery. Shelley Freydont introduces you to some interesting characters. The series is off to a good start. I was a little disappointed when I went to find out when the rest of the series will be out. I see one listed as Kindle. I am a paper fan. I am not sure if this series is over before it started for me.
Celebration Bay Mystery
1. Foul Play at the Fair (2012)
2. Silent Knife (2013)
3. Cold Turkey (2013) (Kindle only???)

Decent book- I found it a little hard to get into it at first and there are a lot of characters to keep track of, but the second half of the book was good. Lots of little secrets come out and I did want to know who killed the victim. The end was very good- I did not figure it out, which is always good. I will probably read the next title in the series.

A good cozy mystery. New Yorker Liv flees the big apple for a quieter pace in a small upstate town only to find that the dangers of the big city are just as common in rural America. Hired as Celebration Bay's event planner, she stumbles onto old secrets that bring fresh dangers and conspiracies to the town's citizens.

I really liked this book. A great start to a series. This is book one.
The town, the descriptions are a place most of us would like to live. Located in upstate New York, lies the town of Celebration Bay. It is the Autumn season and the descriptions of the fall leaves, the trees, the town are breathtaking.
The main character, Liv has left the busy life of New York City to adapt to the slower country life of this town as an event planner. When a murder occurs this puts a big damper on the beloved town fair, one that she is responsible for, in maintaining and making sure everything goes right.
I look forward to book two. Loved the characters, especially Liv and her dog. Cant wait for more adventures or rather misadventures.

The mystery didn't really gel for me. Not enough time was spent on running the fair / doing event planning. The sleuthing should be tied to the job.
