I requested this book after reading a glowing review of it in a magazine. After reading Four Corners of the Sky, I think the favorable review had more to do with warm feelings about the author and his previous work (Handling Sin) that with the quality of this novel. Four Corners of the Sky would have been well served with a better editor and about 100 fewer pages. There was a lot of repetitiveness. That being said, once the adventure got going, it was fun to ride along. The second half of the book was entertaining, and though unbelievable, I was fully engaged in the story of Annie, her con-artist father, her family, the mob, the FBI, and a long-lost relic.
