A woman's book about friends who are sisters and sisters who are friends. Thogh bound by blood, they are separated by tragedy. Their collective journeys are about personal and familial redemption. A good read.

A story of three sisters, with different temperments and interests, looking for love and through the growth of each character from within, finding love.
This book is for anyone who had a sister or who wished they had a sister. A wonderful women's fiction!

I loved this book!!! It is not really a romance but it does have elements of romance in it. It is a warm intimate book about sisters and love and rediscovering who we really are. I laughed and cried. I felt joy and sorrow. This is a book full of tenderness and hardship.
Great read!!!!

THis was a very well written book about sisters who come to terms with things that happened in their childhood that were "never discussed" even amongst themselves. It is also about love of family and finding love. It was a good read and I enjoyed it.

I really enjoyed this book, it captivated me from the beginning to the end. I wouldn't call it a great literary piece, but the story is good, characters are engaging, and there is enough tragedy to make it a good read. I thoroughly enjoyed the story and the relationship of the four sisters. I have two sisters, so I can relate to a lot of the feelings between the women. A good read overall and I recommend it.

This is one of the BEST books I have ever read! Did NOT want this one to end!!!

A time for change...and second chances. They are the Season sisters, bound by blood, driven apart by a tragedy. Now they are about to embark on a bittersweet journey into the unknown; an odyssey of promise and forgiveness of loss and rediscovery.

Jillian, Beatrice and Rose have gathered for the funeral of their younger sister, Meredith. Her death, and the legacy she leaves them, will trigger a cross-country journey in search of a stranger - a stranger with the power to mend their shattered lives. As the emotions of the past reverberate into the present, Jilly, Birdie and Rose search for the girls they once were - in hopes of finding what they had really lost; the women they were meant to be.

The Season Sisters have come together for a funeral, and stay together to find a baby, now 26 years old. It is an easy read. I found myself thinking of ways for the author to tie up the loose ends. I liked this a lot!

I liked this book. I liked the characters and the story line and I found the situations that the characters were in to be totally believable. For me it was well written and because of that it was a fast read. I'm sure i will look for other books written by her to read.

This the best Mary Alice Monroe book I've read! And that is saying alot, since I love all of her books. This one struck perhaps a more personal chord with me since it was about adoption, and eventually finding the birth child and reconcilation with sisters and one's self. A great read with good characters.

This is a great story about four sisters. The reader gets glimpses into their lives a little bit at a time. The author reveals things and then writes about another aspect of their lives. The story kept me interested all the way through it. I couldn't wait to find out what happens in the end. Excellent read! I highly recommend this book and this author.

Heartwarming family relationship story (my favorite) about four sisters and the way they face the traumas in their lives. This story shows them from their childhood until adulthood, being together, being apart. They are all together for a family tragedy which had started when they were children, each one carrying their own guilt about what happened. I love the way this author writes, stripping layers off each character, each one so different.

Sisters Jillian, Rose & Beatrice gather for the funeral of their younger sister Meredith. Things-and people are not at all what they seem to be. The past is revisited and ties that bind are tested in this novel.
