Dick Frances has a very believable way with dialog & the main character in this book is someone I would like to know. It's from the viewpoint of art so some info about painting helps solve the crime, but the real interest comes from the involved crime & solution.

Another excellent Dick Francis book, this time involving art theft and forgery.

This book was very hard to put down. Dick Francis is such a master at creating and developing his characters, and the mystery and suspence are captivating. I've loved every one of his books, and each one I read, I think is the best so far, until I read the next one, and then I think that's the best one. I'm tempted to keep all of his books and read them again, but my grandmother taught me that it is better to share.

Brilliant, as always with Dick Francis. Mesmerizing from the very first sentence: "I stood on the outside of disaster, looking in." How can you NOT keep reading after that?
The next sentence is even better, and gets you hooked....
