You just can't go wrong with a blast from your past. Judy Blume is one of the reasons I love to read today. She was the first author that I actually went looking for books that she authored. I remember stalking the librarian as she was putting out books hoping she had the latest and greatest in her cart and I could snag it before any other other 4th graders could. :-)
This is such a cute little book with a cute little story. Scary ingredient list, but hey... it's all in the name of freckles, after all!

As one who was ALWAYS voted "Most Freckles" at the year end school parties in school, I loved this book as a child. What a fun reminder of my childhood to read this with my child!

A classic! This convincing small boy adventure proceeds smoothly to a satisfying conclusion. The conniving little girl, understanding teacher, and feckless, freckleless boy are amusingly depicted in the impish black and white illustrations and in the story, which is especially suited for reading aloud to second and third graders.

I work at an elementary school as a reading intervention specialist and read a lot of children's and YA books. They can be so fun! This is a clever one and I enjoyed it!
