I haven't read it, just bought it to complete a set. It's in perfect condition. I might not get to read it as I am moving but it's Anne McCaffrey!
A colony of human freedom fighters, ex-slaves of the mysterious and ruthless Eosi, have now gathered strength enough to use the resources of the Botany colony to attempt the liberation of Earth itself from the Eosi grasp.
Lots of thoughtful detail as Kris Bjornsen, her lover the fugitive Catteni warrior Zainal, and the rest of the human leadership grapple with the logistical, tactical, and management challenges involved with mounting an invasion against a powerful alien foe and resupplying the surviving humans starving on an Earth stripped of its natural resources.

Not my favorite series of Anne McCaffrey, but my brother likes them, so I got this for him.
Wow.Wow. Wow. A fitting end to the trilogy. The concept of another world that could sustain human and other life forms, develop a new society, and rescue a world, is amazing. And, the idea that there is a much higher cognitive life form that can assist many other life forms-just amazing. Read it, read it, read it!!!
This was an awesome book! There is a fourth in the series as well called Freedom's Ransom, which was published in 2002.
